Maryanne holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Diploma of Legal Practice and a Master of Medical Science (Health Promotion) from The University of Newcastle.

She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2004 and admitted to Practice in the High Court of Australia in 2004.

Maryanne has been practising since 2004, primarily in Family Law and general litigation matters and prior to joining O’Hearn & Bilinsky, worked for a firm in country Victoria before returning to Newcastle to work for a law firm in Maitland.

Appointed to the NSW Legal Aid General Family Law Panel in December 2007, Maryanne also holds affiliations with the Law Society of New South Wales, the NSW Women Lawyers Association, the Law Council of Australia and also NSW Young Lawyers.

Outside of work, Maryanne’s interests include competition tennis, golf and garden design.
